The refereeing at this World Cup has been deplorable.

Red Cards that aren't bloody red cards, soft yellow cards and penalties awarded for dubious hand ball decisions.

The sport needs to be revamped. Technology and a third referee should be considered because some countries did not progress because of stupid referee decisions! :roll:

I agree paphitis, i was thinking there could be two more refs off the pitch with access to the video footage who could over-rule the main referee if they both agree an incorrect decision has been made.
In this day and age, such mistakes shouldn't really be happening in football refereeing.

Watched it with some pals down on the waterfront. I thought Italy was a sure cert to win.
