Rubbish, the man was telling the Admin to F**k Off and other stuff as I understand it.

Admins don't have to explain themselves to anyone.

Come on, we get away with murder on this board, it would never be tolorated anywhere else.

What with Halil making death threats to Oracle.

Bir threats of violence against members

Mr ..... NG using the 'C' word on everyone

I mean jesuuuuussssss

I wasn't there, but i am told the dispute stRted with the " missing when saying the kktc

Hello,

Members should keep anything related to the Cyprus Problem or Politics in the correct sections of the forum. You can say anything you want about "trnc" (with or without quotes) or anything else related to the Cyprus Problem as long as you do so in the correct section. You should not start such threads in other sections and you should not divert topics in other sections into Cyprus Problem discussions. This forum is not just about the Cyprus problem and politics. This is why we have different sections.

YFred was asked to keep his "trnc" Cyprus problem posts in the Cyprus Problem section of the forum. Similar requests were made to several other members in the past. YFred reacted in a very rude way saying, among other things, that he has now banned the forum from his PC. Due to his reaction I have also banned him from the forum. This ban is not necessarily permanent and I might give another chance to YFred in a month or so from now despite what he said against me.

Some years ago I decided that from then on I will intervene as little as possible in the discussions, especially in the Cyprus Problem section. The main reason I did this was because I wanted to give to the members the maximum free speech possible. Another reason is that I don't have the time to read every post that is made here.

Unfortunately it seems that this was the wrong decision. Members can not control themselves properly without strict moderation and the Cyprus Problem bickering spread all over the forum. This is very harmful for the forum since such environment is not right for most people. I spend twice as much money for the forum than the little I get from the ads, and quite frankly I started to get tired of subsidizing the discussions of people who do not even appreciate it.

Some drastic changes are needed for the forum. I am planning an upgrade and a re-design but these things will have to wait for a while because my free time is extremely limited right now. For now what I want from the members here is to understand that the forum has several different sections and that they can not make posts related to the Cyprus problem and politics in other sections. Another thing I expect from you is to show self-constrain, mind your language and be polite - especially to new members. Last, but not least, if you have any complaints about why somebody was banned or a post deleted you should ask me directly via PM. Do not start threads about such issues in the forum.

Thank you

I told you before that there's nothing wrong with charging €20-30 p/a for membership as it would go a long way in reimbursing you for your troubles. As for the management of the paid accounts you can get one of the members to deal with all that.

Remember the BBSs in the Fidonet days? We used to pay for crappy text-mode interfaces!
