Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Lately, quite a bit of time. I am renovating and have to go check up on my local builders. I'm going to start renting it out to tourists after our summer is over. I don't know Spanish but my neighbours speak German (actually they are German originally) so they help me out with it. The whole place is full of Germans actually.

Careful Omer, this is a trick question, with Bir still trying to ascertain your origins.

Also, May I ask a favour?

Could you offer 2000 acres to Turkey to move all her settlers to so we can have our country back? Perhaps she would be happy to pay rent, or maybe not

4000 acres, I can only dream of such a place, good on you and enjoy.

I was born in a little village called Istinco (Istinjo) near Polis,Paphos...My father was a school teacher,so we visited many parts of Cyprus, before, luckily as it proved, ending up in Nicosia in 1963,before the troubles started...I finished high school in Nicosia and emigrated to Australia in 1969,age 17....In 2007,I went back to my village, after 40 years, and found it in ruins...I have some photos, sitting on the ruins of my house of birth in the link I sent you (Birkibrisli's Cyprus Dairy (sic)),you might like to look at if you get a chance... Here it is again...

Did you speak with your villagers there? Did they remember you? What did they have to say about it?

So glad I looked in here now Bir. It is 3am in the morning and I am now rivetted to your journal. Definitely the best read on this forum right now.

Lots of people seem to be taking a break from here at the mo. I am not here much myself. Stay well.

Omer if you read the journal - your questions will all be answered!
