AYIA NAPA

Postby DANGAMAN » Thu Jun 17, 2010 6:23 pm

I went last night to Ayia napa for a drink with a mate.

To my surprise it was very quiet. What struck me the most is that if you removed all the annoying people trying to pull you into the bars, the place would be empty.

This clearly seemed liked sin city at its worst, with girls from all over the world dancing on poles in empty bars... just to pull in the very few remaining people in the streets.

Although there were some very attractive women about, I actually felt sorry for the young girls dancing with almost nothing on, so the boys can buy a drink.

I told a few guys who were trying to pull me in the bars or give me free shots with every drink to "get out of my face"

I think this is Ayia Napa as its worst giving it a bad name.

Just to clarify and make my self clear... There was some very good looking women, it looked like we got the worst tourist and threw them down there.

Its Been like that almost every weekend apart from KataKlysmos when those lovely Nicoseans descended.
Same story in Protaras and even Kapparis is dead.
There will be those that sneer We dont need bloody tourists, but of course they arnt the small traders or Hotel owners staring huge losses in the face.

Why don’t those idiots stop opening bars & clubs? What are they stupid? There's only so much the market can take...

Tourism in Cyprus is not what it used to be, once you take away the hospitable Cypriot at the service posts and ie waiter/waoitress, barmaid, and replace them with MOURGOUS eastern Europeans something is lost....
