What I would like to see is an open parliamentary discussion of Cyprus policy in the Turkish parliament.
Greece did this, while Andreas Papandreou was alive. Papandreou, and Mitsotakis, had been ranking minnisters in Papandreou's father's government in the early 1960s. Both testified that the policy of Greece in the 60s was a union policy, which explains the events of the time and the manipulation of the GC population. What was Turkey's policy and strateigic goal in Cyprus then, what is it now? What actions were taken pursuant of this policy? What role was planned for the TC community?
Cryptic statements like the one contained in Davutoglu's book Strategic Depth, that Turkey should be interested in CYprus even if there was not a single Moslem there, are not statements of policy and do not reveal anything about the actions of Turkey on the island.
We heard it from one side, now let's hear it from the other.
