Far be it for me to tell anyone they are a "foreigner" in any country.
For your information, I am a British Citizen born to Cypriot parents who immigrated to the UK when they were teenagers, spent most of their lives in the UK and returned to Cyprus when me and my sisters were teenagers. All my siblings were born in the UK and we frequently came to Cyprus on holiday.
My reason for pointing this out to Miltiades is that, even though I am British, when I was living in the UK and going to school, I still did not feel completely British because the kids at school classed us as foreigners and because of our Mediterrenean skin we stood out of the crowd.
Having been in Cyprus for most of my adult life, I get the same feeling here! That I am not completely accepted as a Cypriot because I was born and lived half of my life in the UK, but maybe this is just me.
However I must point out that wherever you live, you must respect that country and accept it's way of life (as Miltiades did) not expect that country to change it's beliefs and opions to suit you.
