EP RESEARCH STATES TRNC PORTS LEGITIMATE

Postby halil » Mon Jun 14, 2010 4:30 pm

A research conducted on behalf of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade has revealed that the TRNC ports of Famagusta, Kyrenia and Gemikonagi are legitimate. The research titled “Turkey’s Commercial and Economic relations” was published on the European Parliament’s official website.

According to the news published in Greek Cypriot Fileleftheros newspaper, the Greek Cypriot Administration cannot shut down or exercise any authority over the Famagusta, Kyrenia and Gemikonagi ports located outside its jurisdiction.

The research also points out that these ports are legitimate under international law.

That has always been the case. It is only Ercan and Gecitkale which they have semi-control over.

Of course they are legitimate ports. Legitimately owned by the RoC but currently occupied, illegally, by Turkey which prevents their proper administration by the RoC.

What's new?

But has the current administrators lived there after they were 12 years old? ECHR will have something to say about that.

Those are RoC Government owned territories ... since 1960! And Hellenic for thousands of years! What has the ECHR got to do with it?

So what if ..... they refuse to pay landing and harbour fees and insist on conducting customs and passport formalities with the Government of the Republic?

Better take the usual welcoming Turkish Iron Bars.
