I hear Qatar is rethinking about investing in the RoC. If the money goes to the occupied areas instead we may be in for a shock, since the moronic "we cannot afford to be choosy" has dominated the political arguments recently as though uttered by a deep thinker.

Good point- lets ROC leave Israel to deal directly with Turkey and Greeks of Cyprus can get fruits out of it, like Turkey did in WAR II.

Are some people seriously thinking that the Israelis will risk a war with Turkey, or anyone else, for the benefit of Cypriots? Or is the thought that Israel, and by extension the Jewish lobby in the US, pull along the USA into this and the application of "pressure" will be enough to get Turkey to back down from its ambitions?

Either scenario sounds far fetched. And even if it were possible, anyone know the price for this favor?
