How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Obsessed with filthy money isn't that Horrorcall? lol!

Her deep seated fear of the truth is shown by the way she thinks anyone who disagrees with her must be GETTING PAID TO DO SO lol!

I'm off out soon to enjoy a Cypriot New Year celebration. Enjoy your resentment eating away at you like a cancer within. Nothing will change for you next year except it might even get worse.

Have you thought about coming over here to live yet? You could join the blackshirted neo nazi nationalist thugs and spur them on to greater efforts!

Can't help but notice that, however long I stay away from this CF forum, Horrorcall is there like a SHOT the minute I return and post anything!

How sad. Not really - it amuses me.

Don't choke on the vasilopita  You seem a little blind as to how often you post just to troll after me (10 minutes after my post this time - the troll is getting slow.)

Back to the alliances ...

Whatever happened to this little "possibility"?

"Ankara also was planning to start oil and gas exploration in waters between the southeastern Turkish city of Mersin and the northern coast of the TRNC."

I guess someone has deterred them. :D

I haven't read the whole of this thread - it's now too long and the time I have is too short - but I do find it odd that the GCs should be getting so excited about becoming friends with a country who since 1948/56/73 - take your choice - have invaded and occupied more than one other country, built settlements on occupied land, have about 10% of their population living on occupied lands, ignored many UN resolutions, and have unilateraly declared partial "enosis/taksim" on some of their neighbours country.

Well said.

But GC politics is only based on, 'your enemy is my friend'. They see no further than their own Papadopoulian noses. I'd say that was very short-sighted. Israel will discard Cypruse one day like a used sanitary towel (am çaputu).

Happy New Year, Obs.

Why didn't you make the same remark the past 20 years of Israel-Turkish brotherhood?

At the time I didn't think that there was any need as there were enough GCs around to point out what they felt was the similar invasion/building/settling/UN ignoring behaviour of Turkey and Israel.

Everyone should get excited about making new "friends". :D However, aside from the trivial, this is an alliance forged through common interests (Oil Exploration, peace, land restitution) and no one is foolish enough to pretend everything is pure. Turkey is constantly changing (Constitutions) wanting to show improvement, so why isn't the rest of the world allowed changes? They might be - and probably will be, but mostly hopefully shall be - for the better!
