Tension is what Turkey brings to the table. I refer to you this hurriyet article:

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/mob_n. ... 2010-12-21

Secondly, the new find is about 80 miles off the coast of Haifa. The "trnc" can go claim it if it so chooses. LOL

Thirdly, Cyprus will soon be proceeding with a second licensing round for off shore oil exploration off its southern coast and there is nothing your beloved Turkey can do to stop it. GET OVER IT.

Here is the legend you were unable to supply to that google-images map:

Figure 1. Location of four assessment units in the Nile Delta Basin Province in the eastern Mediterranean. (Map not definitive for political boundaries.) USGS image.

(Abstract)
Gas Market Outlet
Final remark is, that present and feature gas discoveries in the South East Mediterranean region (Israel, Egypt, Cyprus etc.) can make a substantial contribution to Europe's energy security. Also the development of a "South-North” Energy Corridor, from Europe to Asia, based on these gas discoveries, could:
(a) turn the East Mediterranean region into an area of sustainable and balanced economic development based on comprehensive cooperation and solidarity,
(b) strengthen cooperation and create the appropriate framework conditions for prosperity, dialogue, stability and peace in the region,
(c) enhance the regional political stability, economic development and reduce the poverty and social divisions, and
(d) improve the bilateral relationships (e.g. Israel - Palestine, Cyprus - Turkey), through the development of synergies, thus ensuring the continuous regional cooperation.

Daniella, it's clear you are unable to follow a line of debate. Kindly stop butting in with useless information which detracts from the questions people ask whilst going to great pains to insult (in any language) the intelligence of those people who ask the questions.

Now, I am not asking you for any further input of superfluous MAPS when once again I try to raise the issue of the Sovereign Base Areas and their perceived rights to the Coastal Waters of Cyprus.

Stop bitching; all this information is useful for the understanding of the whole idea of oil/gas exploration and EEZ's.

Carry on Daniella; you too Oracle only if you can stop bitching.

Deniz, why don't you stop patronising people? You were not part of the debate which was terminated by an unnecessary, out-of-context "drawn" ("Map" to the rest of us) and then suffered the endless abuse when a legend was requested for clarification as to whether the "drawn" was indeed relevant to the SBA issue!

Just stop attacking me whenever I object to something by another "female" forumer and treat each "female" forumer as equal to "male" forumers! This is supposed to be a gender neutral debating site.

Back to the SBAs .....
