How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Do you really think that the average western christian saw what happenned and were in favor of Turkey, when they were hearing that a Catholic Bishop was murdered, you guys are too naive on how the real world works...

The actions of Turkey are condemned, worldwide, daily. Countries even hold meetings to discuss the impact of their violent Genocides, their unchecked Expansionism, their ethnic cleansing of Europeans, their occupation of others' homes, their honour killings, their banning of freedom of speech, their military take-overs, their loose cannon of a leader, their terrorists etc...

How can one equate state action with individual action and reach meaningful conclusions against the state of the individual remains a mystery for me.

Oracle, you forgot to mention that in Timbuktu they hold daily meetings at sunrise, to condemn the actions of Turkey.

So ... all that aside ... this 'Cypriot-Israeli Alliance to free Cyprus'

Do they have a website?

A headquarters?

Any Officials?

How can I get in touch with the Alliance?

Is it being run from the UK?

*please don't tell me that, like the 'avenging EU army' it is all in O's mind?

We just had a meeting of Richmond residents against Turkish genocide and expansions and we pronounced our standard condemnation for the day.

I look forward to tomorrows condemnation.

Not really. It is not as you say.

The Western World has condemned the loss of life. Public Opinion in the Western World is an entirely different matter, and believe me when I say that there a few who are condemning the IDF's actions and self defence. As a previous poster said, some only saw a bunch of violent thugs attacking the IDF. This is not related to the naval blockade on Gaza as public opinion also opposes the blockade.

So in other words, many understand that the IDF was justified to shoot back!

Why don't you visit The Israeli Embassy in Nicosia and ask one of their diplomats about Cy/Israeli relations? You might be surprised!

Furthermore, since the RoC declared its neutrality and did not allow the Flotilla free passage through RoC Territorial Waters, thus forcing "The Free Gaza" movement to withdraw from Cyprus completely after Turkey messed things up, Israel all of a sudden sees Cyprus in a completely different light, and it is really up to the RoC to consolidate even further. The doors are certainly wide open.

Cyprus is already at the forefront:

The foreign ministers of France, Italy and Spain proposed having EU monitoring teams in Cyprus inspect Gaza-bound cargo to prevent weapons and other banned items from entering the Palestinian territory.

This is a possibility.

The Israelis might consider EU, Spanish, Italian, French and even RoC monitoring teams!

Turkish monitoring or involvement would most certainly be out of the question. It all comes down to trust, and the Israelis believe that the Turkish IHH has terrorist links. In fact, the Turkish IHH which deployed the MAVI Marmara was declared a terrorist affiliated organisation by the US back in 2008.
