If I can put in another plug for the Free Areas of CY as a Value Destination For the GB Working Man and Working Woman's holiday please...

Based on our experiences last Summer. The eateries and bars of the top CY resort of Agia Napa were excellent value. A hearty dinner in the restaurants there serving CY specialities was around 12E a person. Several establishments catering for the GB market served all-day English Breakfasts with a mug of tea for a handful of euros. The bars were excellent value.

Over in Larnaca the restaurants on MacKenzie offered the same unchanging, excellent traditional CY cuisine that they've served for decades, again for around a dozen euros a head. All served in the traditional luke-warm style that CY is famed for.

The CTO have asked me to also put in a good word for the souvenir shops over in Agia Napa, not that they need to ask cos in many visits over the years the shops over there offer excellent value to the visitor on a tight budget for mementos of their trip.

There's one shop in particular, whose name can't remember, who have always given us a little free gift to go with our purchases and who sell pretty good suitcases, perhaps not of top quality but more than ok for those returning home with more than they came with, with change from 10E.

I have to be honest and say that having travelled to 17 of the 30 destinations.............. I have some pretty grave reservations about these results.
I'd put Cyprus mid to lower table, as I can think of at least 7 places I have personally visited for a reasonable length of time (1-3 months) which IMHO offered better value for money.

( BTW -its nearly 4 am and I can't be bothered to consider punctuation)

And then .... there was ''Get Real'' lol!!!

Just as well i wasn't a tourist then, ....What!!!

Don't you just love these people that have never been anywhere in there life, and have to rely on articles, reports, surveys to make there feeble points. ....and of course, there always Right!!

Find another topic you ''Know'' something about, and spew your rhetoric there, cause your just way out of your depth on this one
