Basicly its open source CMS site that you can use all kind of components to build your site. I got a specific one that makes profiles, groups, walls, like button, profile pictures, gallery's, photo tagging.
You would ask whats the point, why dont you just use facebook? Yes you can and you will no matter what websites come out. But Im trying to make a small community site where hopefully mainly cypriots or people who live in cyprus will register and have a place where you know mostly people from Cyprus will hung around, make friends, find old friends more easily than the huge community of facebook.
You can always block certain countries IP but i wont do that. Simply I will monitor who registers, users activites, users reports on fake profiles or profiles not connected with cyprus and take care of them. I dont expect it to grow to like 50.000 profiles, in the best case scenario I can monitor with some help few thousand profiles which will be an achivment for a cypriot community site.
Anyway any opinions, thoughts you got please drop them here
To be honest, I don't really spend much time on Faceache....
However, I have friends from all over the world. Wouldn't the problem be with a Cypriot specific site that you have to type everything in twice so your local and Faceache friends can see what you are up to...? Two photo albums, etc.
BTW I am a big fan of Joomla!
You don't even know what Joomla is
And your ridiculous assertion is based on what…?
It is a bit rich coming from the self-declared IT ‘expert’ that proposed that the way to fix a network IP conflict was to re-install XP!
