It's just as well this is not a primarily 'tourist' orientated forum. Oracle in particular would be enough to put anyone off coming to visit.

What with her contempt for anyone who abhors litter and dogshit spoiling the towns, and her statement that the signs warning people not to put dirty bog roll down the pan all over the island are just 'a practical joke played on foreigners' (what idiot country, depending on tourism, would play a practical joke like that - it puts people off coming here!) And gloating every time she hears of a Brit property buyer being ripped off in a country that depends also to a large extent on property development.

People tend to expect to be ripped off a bit when they are not local, or are 'tourists' in a tourist area, but they don't like the locals shoving it down their throats and openly gloating about it.

But then I don't think she cares two hoots for Cyprus anyway or whether it sinks or swims. She seems happy to see it vanish as long as the Turks suffer and her 'motherland' Greece doesn't.
