Just upgraded the firmware from 3.1.3 to OS 4.0 through the ITunes update!

Not going to bother with jailbreak crap! The capabilities of the phone are adequate enough!

I don't understand why anyone would get a new handset! The 3GS has the same capabilities as the IPhone4 once you update it to OS4.0! Or am I missing something?

Plus there is a lot of negative publicity with the new Iphone4.

really? the 5mp camera . the flash? the resolution screen?.. lots have problems with the iphone 4, but for me and lots others its been fine, really good. the new design. i hated the 3gs same design as the 3g i did not want it

Not really enthusiastic about the 5mp camera with flash.

I don't believe Iphone4 is a big enough improvement to warrant an upgrade at this stage! The 3GS is more than adequate.

yes maybe the next one will be good for you to upgrade

. if i had the 3gs maybe i would not have either but because the design was the same as the 3g i did not want to get it, and i am glad i did not, the 3g to the 3gs upgrade was really not worth it especially now with the iphone 4's 512mb ram and the 1GHz processor, but its only going to get better the iphone and i will only be upgrading once every two years.

i did use the 3gs it did seem very fast. for me i really like the HD video recording and the resolution and the new design and faster because of the micro sim. the battery is supposed to be better but it does not last long on my iphone 4 it drains very quickly

Well the problem that was first picked up was that if you bridged the break in the steel surround whilst holding the phone, the sig would drop.

I tried to deliberately do this the other day and there was no effect.

Yes, it does seem now that it's a minor software problem that has no effect on performance, with a fix to come.

Yes, battery life is much, much improved and the screen resolution is remarkable.

I agree it's amazing the screen and recording in hd, I paid for iMovie also. With the battery life I use it non stop heavily for 6 hours roughly and it uses up most the battery.

Btw bill how is the MacBook pro with 4gb of ram? I am going to buy one soon but might wait and get 8gb ram instead what do you think? Plus it will be my first mac

4 gig of Ram is more than good for me mate, browsing, wp'ing, a bit of wordpress work.
