More bugs, gnats and mozzies this year than I've ever seen. The salt lake shore is a seething mass of sand flies (well it was last week).

I've been told that EU regs have stopped the municipality spraying as they usually do.

Some of the waterfront eateries are just turning out all the lights and trying for citrus candles on tables instead.

One of them just closed all the doors and turned the aircon on.

Another had about 20 of those A5 sized sticky double sided sheets that trap flying insects all dangling everywhere like Xmas decorations!

Had the sandflies problem last Tuesday as I was singing outdoors by the pool. The piano was totaly covered and i don't know how many I swollowed (flies that is, not pianos). :)

You need to watch these buggers as they can give you Leishmaniasis. Prevalent in North Africa, but it has been moving further north. I got it in Majorca 40 years ago and was very lucky that a Doctor I saw in the UK had seen it before. They chopped a big chunk out of my leg!!!!

Flew out of Paphos 6th june and it was 38 degrees!! Missed the rain but got it when we got home!!!

Driving to Larnaca on Sunday morning and I mentioned to CG that in all my life this is the greenest I have ever seen Cyprus in June. Beautiful!! :)
