How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Maybe just as well...I wouldn't want to insult all those decent, sensible, honourable people who share the same ethnicity as these miserable excuses for human beings... :(

My thoughts exactly, Bir.

(This Paphitis chap seems like he's a pre-pubescent teenager, welded to his computer and whose appreciation of war and politics comes from playing some abominable war game or flight simulator. When not doing this, still welded to his computer, he bombards this forum with maniacal nonsense).

Turkey has exploited the peace Flotilla for its own means. We all new Israel was going to intercept the flotilla. It has been intercepting all shipping in the area.

Now, after many hundreds of ships are intercepted and boarded without incident, the MAVI Marmara comes along and the so called 'activists' began to attack the boarding party forcing the IDF to defend itself costing the lives of 9 people.

So the common denominator here seems to be Turks.

No Turks = no bloodshed.

Then you yourself had the audacity to cite Piracy Laws. What kind of a lawyer do you think you are? Did you do your course via correspondence? Try the Geneva Convention instead.

Then there is the hypocrisy, so don't get me started on that. Is there any wonder why the Israelis have now decided to send a flotilla of their own?

Honestly Copperline, don't insult our intelligence, because you don't even know what your talking about.

Greece is psycologically European, its position on Israel is the european position.

Cyprus is not psycologically European, it's psycological make-up is primarily local. Note the comments about the RoC focusing only on its own issues rather than pan-European ones.

No right or wrong, simply different psycological make-up.

Greece serves its own value system, RoC its own.

Bir, personally I am loving this tangent Paphitis is on, I could never have expected anyone to so eloquently commit forum suicide.

Loving it - good to see a maniac implode, and prove my long held belief at the same time.

Can't wait for his next comment on how full democracy is the way forward for Cyprus. I feel totally vindicated to say Cypriots are not ready to move to such a position without establishing long term mutual respect love and understanding.

Do you really like it, do you really like it
We're lovin' it, lovin' it, lovin' it
We're lovin' it like this

(Had to look it up) but this merry tune just keeps popping into my head each time DJ Pied Paphidis gets into his groove...

Well I like this little tune -

Your argument for full democracy is a sham,
as you believe the end justifies all means.
All of the garbage you've spewed over the years,
doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

Put another way, lovin'it, lovin'it, lovin'it.

You seem to have all forgotten the poor Palestinians, Turkey was send much needed aid these people have been cut off for weeks. This situaiton echoes how the TCs would be in a united Cyprus if Gcs decided to attack, stranded and in danger while the EU held meeting after meeting to think about intervening. Only goes to show the TA must stay as a deterrant and guarantee the TRNCs security.
