The hypocrisy of Turkey

Everything related to politics in Cyprus and the rest of the world.

In the past we heard about the hypocricy of Israel and USA but no matter what a state is being accused for it wont change just because some want to call it a Hypocrite.

It is like a mouce threatening an elephant .... This approach leads to nowhere and it cant achieve anything other than hardening further its position and make the gabs wider. Turkey can change only If you make it an ally and not an enemy . Thats how politics work....

Personally speaking, I would rather make Israel my ally and tell Turkey to Fuck Off! Hopefully, our ally will one day blow the bastards to kingdom come!

But that's just me....

Personally speaking I dont think the elephant will change direction because of the mouce threats . But the mouce can make the elephant change direction by showing the elephant where the food is hidden.   (Food = Turkish EU Membership , Financial Interest , peace in the region )

But thats just me ...

Are you calling Israel a mouse?

Anyway, Turkey will never change. Even post solution, Turkey will have a footprint on Cyprus.

Just look at what is being discussed.

Turkey does not just want the 'food' but it wants Cyprus from a Strategic point of view. These latest developments have just reinforced that.

Personally speaking, I would rather see Israel in the EU. We can live with them as we have more in common.

Turkey in the EU. No, I don't think so!

They can form their own block with Iran etc.

Piratis,
Turkey is not a person, like Cyprus it is a state. As states they do not possess a single and unitary consciousness therefore neither Turkey nor Cyprus (nor any other state, even Israel) can be hypocritical. Start again.

States can have hypocritical foreign diplomacy.

States can behave in a hypocritical manner. Example: Turkey.

Turkey has shown its human face in Palestine there is no reason not to do the same in Cyprus . But of course I will be called a dreamer again . Policies change throuhout the years and what makes countries change are their own interest and strategies.

I believe that Turkey has a human face but its hidden behind tons of beaurocracy similar as Cyprus.

Surely the government of a state can be referred to as hypocrites, so the policy of that government could be said to be hypocritical.

"The hypocrisy of Turkey" can be interpreted as shorthand for "The hypocrisy of the government of Turkey"

You are splitting hairs simply to have a pop at Piratis, Copperline.
