Gets me out to places I wouldn't normally go to and it's helped me appreciate the world around me so much more.

Spent the whole day with my friend and her horses yesterday, an offer I would usually pass up, but thanks to my camera I really enjoyed it.

There isn't anywhere not worth going now. I will never get bored no matter where I am as long as I have my camera at hand! :D

What's so special about this camera, T_C?

Is it a boy-with-a-new-toy kind of thing, or are you going to take up professional photography?

Didn't some snappy photographer, from your fashionista world, die recently? Sounds like an opening for you ... :D

It's an entry level dSLR. A normal point and shoot camera picks pretty much every setting for you, whereas with these cameras you have full control over how the camera works to take the picture.

I still feel like a total amateur but definitely thinking of going pro sometime in the future. Right now I'm just enjoying learning and putting it all to use.

This is one of my favorites from those I took on Saturday... :D

That is an excellent picture T_C. The way the background is blurred, it looks just like a pro picture. Do you understand the relationship between time and aperture to achieve these results manually?

You should go to an evening class of photography.

I guess she didn't thump you, then :D

Seriously beautiful creature (horse, not NC!)

You sound like you've got the eye for the detail. I would never have noticed that little blur if you hadn't mentioned it.

Go for it. NVQ ... or whatever. Wedding photographs, civic ceremonies ... etc
