Israeli's commending cyprus on FB for blocking flotilla...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

no moral compass

Yes, that is the phrase that springs to mind, reading some of the more fanatical and wild posts here.

Never mind what Kissinger said, it is also well documented what a former US President said regarding Cyprus and Greece:

President Lyndon Johnson tells the Greek ambassador: "Fuck your Parliament and your Constitution. America is an elephant. Cyprus is a flea. Greece is a flea. If those two fleas continue itching the elephant they may just get whacked by the elephants trunk. Whacked good....We pay a lot of good American dollars to the Greeks, Mr. Ambassador. If your Prime Minister gives me talk about Democracy, Parliament and Constitutions, he, his Parliament and his Constitution may not last very long."

Just another reason why Cyprus and Greece should not play with fire. We did, and we got burnt in the past, and we are still paying.

That comment was made before I was even born.

Don't expect us to make the same mistakes again!

Kissinger made other comments! He actually elevated Greeks as a force to be reckoned with. He elevated them as a race which can't be broken, even under extreme pressure and obstacles. "It is impossible to infiltrate them" he said. The Greeks are the only equal match to Jews. Not the Americans or anyone else, but the Greeks.

I don't really care about it much. I am just agreeing with what Oracle stated. Her Jewish friend said that only Greeks can defeat the Jews. Perhaps she meant to say that her friend only considers Greeks to have the same strength and resolve through their culture.

I don't disbelieve it because Kissinger said something very similar, and I also know that Jews have a healthy respect of Greeks. Greeks and Jews have lived alongside each other since Ancient times. They know each other well.

Now, we are not making any specific point here other than the fact that some interesting comments were made by Kissinger, other Jews and Oracle's Jewish friend.

Just get over yourself!

"Israel has proposed sending a ship called the “No to the Turkish Invasion in Cyprus” to southern Cyprus, thus rewarding it for not supporting a Gaza aid flotilla that was halted by a deadly raid last week."

What a half-hearted publicity stunt!

If the Israelis had balls they'd send their ship to Kyrenia or Famagusta to protest!

There is no need GR, this will attract enough publicity to show up the scumsbag Turks for what they really are about.

Any international attention has got to be good for us and not a single soldier lost or bullet fired. Now, I wonder where I heard that before??

No no no no! If that's the deal the Israelis have fooled us!

An ACTIVIST confronts THE ENEMY, not take a free holiday cruise to a safe area! Wake up!

In principle I agree, but, if the attention is raised and people can see the turks for what they really are, that will remove the focus from what the IDF did and have people begin to question the Turkish motives.

As was said esewhere, why were they so many passengers (of turkish origin) on a cargo ship carrying supplies. Makes you wonder, no???

Anyway, we will have to wait and see if anyone turns up.

It won’t even make the Lebanese news!

If they’re not going to do it right then they should stay put in Israel and never ask us for any favors again!

Dude, it is such a weak publicity stunt - it will make anyone involved look so cheap.

The reality to prove the point they are trying would be to land in the North. What would that prove - nothing a damp squib.

It would show the hypocracy of hard line Israel and RoC on an issue they both should know undermines their argument. Like I said, perhaps then the moderates will pick up the slack and we get going with peace over maximalist facists.

If they do it (with even the slightest official RoC involvement), I'm buying celebratory drinks in Girne limani, come along let's have some fun....
