You mean they fired non lethal tear gas.

Pretty standard practice when the Turks were throwing projectiles against a boarding speed craft resulting in them needing to use a helicopter.

Tear gas is used by Australian boarding parties if necessary. Helicopters are also used as a last resort.

Usually tear gas results in everyone being incapacitated.

I cannot remember on any thread mentioning my country of birth or my ancestry , but if i am a TURK or NOT it has nothing to do with the fact my sympathy lies with the 10 dead activists and thier famillies , and abore what you stand for

...seriously, what the IDF did was just plain wrong on so many levels.

however, it does not justify Turkey's exploitation of a humanitarian mission. Mdme Berlin may be in bed with the Turks because of the money involved. her behaviour leaves me to suspect that she is willing to compromise the credibility of so many people who supported her mission before this event. either way, if Turkey feels so strongly they should have made their own flottila, rather than hijacking an organization which for the most part was apolitical. such an effort would have been better received, in terms of the support Turkey would garner from her global partners. being an independant assault, it would have warranted far more respect, doubling the attention the Gazans received internationally.
