The RoC couldn't afford me, but I am willing to offer my services for free. I am willing to be the RoC's first Kamikaze Commander for it is my duty, and responsibility towards my long suffering country!

Your wife and children might have a different opinion on this...did you ask them?

My wife will hand me my helmet (which I won't need) for she will never bear the torment I will have for never being able to look her or my children in the eye.

Sometimes there is more honour in death if that means my children and future generations live in a liberated and free Cyprus!

Don't answer for her,go and ask her and report back...women are much more sensible when it comes to empty and pointless bravodo that might get you killed, dear boy...

The wife has no choice in this matter. The RoC always comes first for the the RoC's Kamikaze Pilots. My pension is passed on and inherited! I might lose my life insurance cover though.

There is nothing in the world that negates the need for an Armed Defence Force. Even the most smallest and weakest of nations has Armed Forces, and the CNG is adequately equipped, willing, and able to defend the island of Cyprus and it will never be abolished.

Your previous post to GR is nonsense!

When you own 12% and someone gifts you 37% you'd have to be very stupid to complain eh!

Personally I'd like to see weapons/military steadily removed.

You don't say... so the sovereign republic of Cyprus should not be armed but the Turkish invader should! 8)

Does your mum have any more clever ones like you at home? Image

very funny indeed, where does 12% come from

Land Ownership by Ethnic Group:

60.9% - Greek/Armenian/Maronite Cypriots
12.3% - Turkish Cypriots
0.5% - Others
26.3% - State/Church Land

Source: Department of Lands and Surveys (refer to Annex 14 in Volume II of the "Memorandum by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus" submitted to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons, 27 February 1987.

It's a stupid question because uneducated nincompoops like you and Y-Fronts (with an obvious zero military experience) assume that Cyprus has no defense and at the same time are worrying why she is arming up! You contradict yourselves…

What you should be asking is HOW LONG can Cyprus’ defenses last for against this particular enemy, in which case I can assure you that she can last long enough for very sweet revenge… and don’t ever forget that.

Imagine, just imagine the impact on the UN,the EU and the world public opinion if RoC declared they would abolish the CNG sell all their military equipment, and spend the defence budget on measures to improve trust ,understanding, and respect between all Cypriots...

You’re asking the RoC to abandon her defense and use that money to build “trust” with those that parlay with the invader/occupier??? What are you stupid?

And what exactly would you have sacrificed in the meantime? Less mouchos?

Very predictable and silly bravodo,as expected from Tiberius (with a keyboard)! The sensible question remains...Why spend all this money on armaments knowing you will never be able to or allowed to use??? FAced with a formidable "enemy" intelligent people do not fight with the "enemy's" chosen weapons, but finds other more viable ways to defend themselves...I guess I answered my own question,I said "intelligent people"...

You just don’t get it do you… there is no bravado here, I’m giving you FACTS…

With Tor M1, Buk M1, Mistral, Aspide (OTHELLOS SKYGUARD), Oerlikon, and now Tangasta, surface to air missile systems don’t expect a TAF cake walk!

Now what exactly would you have sacrificed in the meantime?

What would you have us think Bir, there is no solution coming our way, the occuppied north is increasingly becoming a province of Turkey, countless Anatolian settlers, and an open border...Where is our future in the next 20 years, The ROC arming to the best of its abilities keeps the balance of military power. If the time comes where the ROC will have to fight for its survival even with crazy odds against Turkey then so be it, but at least this time there wont be a TAF cakewalk or a mehmetcik cake walk where the ROC forces are spread out all over the island because the junta commanders ordered them to, so the Turk army can walk in.....

Are you kidding me Insan, if it wasnt for the junta, Nato the UK and the USA helping the turk army i seriously dont even think your Turk navy would have found Cyprus let alone invade and conquer....Being at the scene of the Turk crime where the first Turk soldier laid his dirty foot on Cyprus,1) Most Gc armor and soldiers around Kyrenia were moved to Paphos and Limassol so the coupist could control the populations, 2) A fire was lit on Pentadaktylos when the CIA backed coup tried to overthrow makarios, and no fire fighters were allowed to put out 3) A straight line from the fire down to the sea is exact to where the Turks first landed on five mile in Kyrenia....4) The Turk army needed a second invasion of Famagusta to outflank the CNG....the intelligence for this invasion was provided by the usa and its satellites...the list goes on and on...5) The sea around Kyrenia during the invasion was littered with British and American naval ships side by side with the Turk ships....These are facts through eyewitnesses and newspaper reports...

Acikgoz, what you say above is like, " I'm alright Jack".

Then I do believe in de-militarisation of the island once peace and a solution has been achieved. This will only happen when re-unification does take place.
