Since Turkey is a so called regional super power in the eastern Med. with a standing army of 600,000, what concern is it to Turkey if Cyprus buys 10 more Tanks from Russia?

Cyprus has CNG numbering some 11,000 and does not want to have anymore open fronts other than the defence of Cyprus alone. Cyprus is not a threat to anyone, and our Defence Force is of vital importance whilst under occupation, and our Defence Force is a fundamental sovereign right after liberation.

It's a stupid question because uneducated nincompoops like you and Y-Fronts (with an obvious zero military experience) assume that Cyprus has no defense and at the same time are worrying why she is arming up! You contradict yourselves…

What you should be asking is HOW LONG can Cyprus’ defenses last for against this particular enemy, in which case I can assure you that she can last long enough for very sweet revenge… and don’t ever forget that.

Imagine,just imagine the impact on the UN,the EU and the world public opinion if RoC declared they would abolish the CNG sell all their military equipment,and spend the defence budget on measures to improve trust ,understanding,and respect between all Cypriots...

You’re asking the RoC to abandon her defense and use that money to build “trust” with those that parlay with the invader/occupier??? What are you stupid?

And what exactly would you have sacrificed in the meantime? Less mouchos?

My wife will hand me my helmet (which I won't need) for she will never bear the torment I will have for never being able to look her or my children in the eye.

Sometimes there is more honour in death if that means my children and future generations live in a liberated and free Cyprus!

The sensible question remains...Why spend all this money on armaments knowing you will never be able to or allowed to use??? FAced with a formidable "enemy" intelligent people do not fight with the "enemy's" chosen weapons,but finds other more viable ways to defend themselves...I guess I answered my own question,I said "intelligent people"...
