If Turkey sees the need to join the EU (And she has not walked away from her wanting to join the EU). I suggest that you rethink your comment about Australins and the Chinese. Actually your coment is invalid the world is globalisationa nd am not going to deviate from my coment

Forgive my ignorance but did we not just have Global Financial Crisis? HHHmmm lets see how did that come about. Could it be that the global economy and dependence on large scale economies cause this? but hey what do I know am just narrow minded according to Big Oz.

Who probalbly claims that Tc's and GC"s can't live together.

Firstly let us have a look who have been badly affected by this so called Global financial crisis; most of Europe (EU), USA, Japan and the like.
Who are sailing through as if nothing has happened and in fact improving their economic strength? China, Turkey, South America (all of them former economic problem areas).

Your accusative comment to VP implied TCs cannot live without joining the EU based on the assumption that Turkey will (?); and Turkey will stop supporting TRNC once it does(???); and there are only 35000 TCs living in TRNC etc etc. The mind boggles!!!

Yes I do claim that under the circumstances TCs and GCs cannot share the same republic living together! But that is an evaluation of the current situation. I DO NOT CLAIM OR SUPPORT THAT THEY SHOULD NOT!

There are only 35,000 TC"s left maximum 55,000

Turkey will continue to support the trnc because they want a strong o on the Island .... there is not a dispute on that comment either

fair enough I accept your argument, I hold a different belief that people can live together and the only way it going to happen is if they unify. I also believe that GC's and TC's have lost sight of the real issues and for me it is simple they share an Island they are Cypriot first and foremost, unless they get this right they never gona live together.

I also find it strange that people will use their enemy to feed their families, can cross over on daily basis and catch buses and work with the enemy yet we are arguing they cannot live together. I find this extremely hard to comprehend. If you hate somoen you hate them and you try to have nothing to do with them not use them.

On another level I disagree with your statement this is a global ecomomy and globalisation is the way things are moving ... I can accept your argument and you have the right to have your views please allow me to have mine

thank you

Did you remember to count me? That figure does not sound right. At least it should be 55,001.
