Will any of you be turning out to greet the Pope?

Will any of you be turning out to greet the Pope?

I expect there will be a large throng of people clamouring to get a look at the Pope on this first Papal visit to Cyprus. I was thinking that probably a lot of the Polish people will turn out.

Is anyone here interested?

Should add I am not.

I heard that Mehmet Ali Agca was going to get together with Ratzinger: the two fascists have lots in common.

At a time when Cypriots are asked to make sacrifices due to the recession, what the hell is our incompetent government doing inviting the useless Pope and his entourage which will probably be the country’s most expensive invite in a decade and second only to that of “Queen” Elizabeth!

What did it cost the Cyprus Government the last time your Queen visited this one of her Commonwealth countries? I seem to recall she stayed at one of the bases and was moved about by the British forces here and the staff of the British High Commission.
