it's OK to make an error. This ICE Hockey tournament recognizes the "trnc" and has nothing to do with "building bridges". Cypriot Ice Hockey clubs should be registered under the auspices of KOA. Just about every sporting regulatory body around the world, does not recognize any sporting entity in the occupied area of Cyprus, and this "Cypriot Ice Hockey club" is doing the exact opposite thus offering de facto recognition to the partition of Cyprus.

I take it that you are young, and a little naive about the implications of this tournament. GCs do in fact participate in many bicommunal initiatives with the TCs. This Ice Hockey tournament has gone beyond that.

You won't see a Cypriot Rugby side behaving in this manner.

By all means, let Ice Hockey develop as an official sport under the auspices of KOA. But the sport has made a very grave error and gone about things the wrong way.

Thanks Paphitis. A rational, logical manner of explanation is all it takes sometimes. I appreciate this post.
Meanwhile we'll just have to wait for KOA and hopefully the sport develops.

nice to see it has taken off in the UAE as well, clearly a lot of countries are sitting up and taking notice and getting involved.. i think the winter olyimpics helped no end...keep chipping away cap :)

While even bigger 'British Fools' look on and criticise? In the case of O. Whose nationalism seems quite newly acquired.

I am still British enough that I can moan ...... and have not yet developed the "water-off-a-duck's-back" attitude of most Cypriots.

Such a bleedin' hypocrite. 'Bit of a chameleon' is the understatement of the century!

You are such bore and the hypocrite. Even after O displays the good sense in ignoring your lunacy and derailment tactics by your persistent trolling, you continue to insist on making a fool of yourself as if your opinion as a non Cypriot outsider counts for anything.
Get a life!

oh you forgot the old "if you dont like it" welcome to cyprus line?
you obviously didnt read the thread properly O is now "British" this week - so her opinion is shit also???
Funny how she Hates Britain (like you) when not there but now this time on her return, having seen her beloved cotswolds in its full summer glory
And English people having treated her as one of their own she pines for her offsprings native land........DILLIGAF

BOF ... don't let the troll confuse you. She/He/It is going through all my old posts and just cutting and pasting at random, obviously out of context. The troll seems obsessed with where I may be residing. I think it must be a turkish troll.

Well a Turkish Troll is something you haven't called me so far.

You Lady Orifice are a world class hypocrite.

Your old posts are more interesting than your current ones. They serve to prove what a two faced hypocrite you are. (Whatever name you were posting under).

Shouldn't you be busy writing to the powers that be in Israel, seeing if you can get them to eject Turkey from Cyprus. As you've failed so miserably in your ambition to get the EU to do that?

Should you be here at all? You did vow never to return once because you'd been insulted.

I'll admit I wasn't all that clued up about the semantics behind this whole thing, and forgetting the blitzkrieg of hurtful comments, I'm delighted to see a good few members actually taking an interest. Hopefully we'll have an official league sometime soon.... and maybe even a national team. :D

Don't worry about some of the comments Cap. Some were a little over the top.

Please don't let anyone get to you. You are a young South African Cypriot who will never deliberately undermine anything about Cyprus. You don't have to be an expert about the Cyprus Problem. Very few Cypriots are. The main thing is that youthful people are here taking a big interest in Cyprus. Well done to you I say!

Cyprus needs young people like you.

Lemithioti, your pecking order isn't in question. You are only slightly behind Paphos! You should be happy with that.
