Paphitis- so you love Christopher Hitchens' novels do you ? Could you name a couple for us ?

Hold on a minute, Christopher Hitchens hasn't written any novels. Still, Paphitis, don't let that stop you telling us which are your favourite Christopher Hitchens' novels ?

What nonsense Copperline!

I have read only one of his books called "The Missionary Position". He has written another book that I am aware of called "God is Not Great". I will read this when I have time.

Also, you might want to know that he has written a couple of books on the Cyprus Question as well as numerous political pieces which are quite superb!

An interesting and controversial chap this Christopher Hitchens... very much a Radical, in the Enlightenment sense.

Think he spent some years in CY. Certainly he was married to a CY lady.

Remember well a docu he made about CyProb many years ago in which, amongst other things, he met up with and highlighted the situation of the refugee villagers of the Occupied Village of Zodhia. (Kato or Pano?).

Gosh I still love those!!! The TV version of many, many years ago was brill. Gems.

Little remembered fact..... a little bit of trivia >>>The well-known and infinitely famous GB steam loco The Flying Scotsman made a guest appearance in one episode of the series.

Don't think Christopher Hitchens wrote about it though.

You really are jaw-droppingly dim, Paphitis. Do you actually know what a novel is ? Neither of the books you just mentioned are novels !

Here's a little test for you : Which of the following are novels ?
A) Nineteen Eighty-Four
B) A Threepenny Opera
C) The Iliad
D) The Gulag Archipelago
E) The War of the Worlds
F) Romeo and Juliet
G) The Bible
H) Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
I) Birds Without Wings
J) The Rise and Fall of the Roman empire
K) Dummies' guide to the internet
L) The New York Times
M) My Name is Red
N) The Color Purple
O) Haynes' VW Polo Manual

Take your time, Paphitis.
