Turkey accuses Israel of “state terror” recalls envoy of the fleet on RAID

On June 1, 2010, In Outside Sources, By Robert Reid

Turkey on Monday accused Israel of “state terror” and recalled its ambassador after a deadly attack on Gaza-bound aid ships through the Israeli forces left at least nine dead, most of them Turkish nationals.

Previously, Bulent Arinc Deputy Prime Minister announced that the Turkish ambassador in Tel Aviv, Oguz Celikkol, had returned to Ankara and plans for the three joint military exercises with Israel was also called demolished.

strong reaction

Turkey meant a new low in the once-flourishing bilateral ties with Israel if the Jewish state was announced that most of the bloodshed occurred on the Mavi Marmara, a Turkish ship carrying more than 600 people, and that most of the victims were Turkish.

protest

Turkey asked for a detailed report on the fate of all people on board ships, a Turkish diplomat told AFP, adding that they included nationals of 33 countries.

Words of war from Erdogan:

“The insolent, irresponsible and impudent attack by Israel, which went against law and trampled human honour underfoot, must definitely be punished,” Mr Erdogan said.

“Nobody should test Turkey’s patience. Turkey’s enmity is as violent as its friendship is valuable...."

What good response re ray, turkey is guilty of much the same in Cyprus.

She doesn't have a leg to stand on. I am not condoning this action, but the principle. It's OK for turkey to carry out such attacks on innocent people but not Israel.

Bloody hell!

I hope they do test the Israeli forces, turkey is getting too big for her boots these days.

From Hijacking this Aid Mission and dirtying it, in their usual way, by getting involved (no problems occurred in the past without Turkey) ... it was obvious they would incite belligerence.

Wherever the Turks lay their hats ... there will be war!

Only the disbanding of this over-sized country, previously called "Turkey", will allow some long-term peace for as many of its neighbours, as possible.

Israel (not my favourite "state") go for it and annihilate the most disgusting construct nation on Earth (next to yours) ... Blow each other up for the sake of LONG term PEACE!

Now that would be great if they wipe each other out. :D But the important thing to remember here is the modern state of Turkey was created by Jews (the Young Turks)

I expressed my opinion regarding the response to such act... lets not go into History again, i liked the clear and strong statement by their government...i hope we'll have the balls to do the same one day.

She said on Tuesday that Washington would support an Israeli investigation of the raid but it must be "prompt, impartial, credible and transparent", as called for by the UN Security Council.

I noticed this morning Hillary Clinton asking for "prompt, impartial, credible and transparent". So we'll have the Israelis carry out an investigation of what they did and pigs will fly if only there were some animal type pigs in Israel. Unfortunately there are only human kind.
