Abbas Secretly Backing Gaza Blockade

European diplomatic sources are claiming that during his meeting with President Obama last week, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas expressed opposition to ending the Gaza blockade.

http://news.antiwar.com/2010/06/13/sour ... -blockade/

The blockade is primarily to stop Hamas from gaining the upper hand and to eventualy instill in Hamas's supporters that this terrorist fanatical group spells disaster for the region. Heavily supported by the enemies of the West , AlQueda , Islamists and GR.

I have lost track of you Milti. You are here, there and everywhere? Are you here or there?

Let me be brutally honest . I do care about the children of the world , the innocent men and women who fall victims to the indoctrination of an ideology that calls for the destruction of another state. An ideology that I find repulsive , an ideology that has brought nothing but blood and tears to thousands of innocents not only in the Middle East but elsewhere. Therefore I ask my self , does Cyprus have anything to gain by supporting , as GR does , this sick and perverted ideology. Can Cyprus benefit in any way whatsoever by supporting an ideology whose ultimate goal is the destruction of another nation . The answer is an emphatic NO. The Palestinians are digging their hole , they are in charge of their own destiny but they are blinded by their warped interpretation of a religious tendency they inherited from the dark ages.THEY ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SUFFERING.
Cyprus is a progressive nation , a nation that rose out of the ashes of the 1974 catastrophe and begun the process of building a future for its people , the results are evident. We do not want the de3destruction of the northern part of Cyprus but an end to the occupation . Had we in any way behaved the way the Palestinians do we would have reverted back to the medieval times that they have created for their people. We do not send rockets into the occupied areas , we do not send suicide bombers into restaurants and other public areas in the occupied parts.
We continue our struggle in the political arenas , the European and other courts .
Cyprus wants to distance itself from those seeking the destruction of Israel .

Erdogan presses on with the elimination of competition and I smell a rat...

A Turkish “general election” is expected at around June 2011 but don’t be surprised if Erdogan, announces that with all the “plots” against the state he will remain in power supposedly to fix things up!

Turkey orders 102 'plotters' held

A Turkish court has ordered the arrest of more than 100 people in connection with a plot to allegedly overthrow the government.

Many of the people named in the arrest warrant have previously been detained and released.

The warrant includes the names of several retired Turkish generals, including Ibrahim Firtina, a former air force commander, and Cetin Dogan, a former army general.

"It is a black stain in legal history," Dogan said of the warrant on Friday. "Those who have smeared us will suffer the consequences."

This is the latest round of arrests in the "Balyoz" (Sledgehammer) case, which involves an alleged military coup plot drawn up in 2003, shortly after the Justice and Development Party (AKP) took power in Turkey.

Tourism to Turkey down 90% for second month

http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/tr ... h-1.310060

Despite Turkey's best efforts, Israeli tourists aren't returning. The number of Israelis who ventured to Turkey in July was down 90%, reaching a measly 4,500 vacationers - compared to 43,000 in July 2009, and 78,000 in July 2008.
