My word they look murdered. Those tomatoes must have been bloody green.

Are you kidding me? What would happen if i did this to your beloved Turkish soldiers in the north you hypocrite. You know, at first i thought Israel acted imprudently...too quick on the trigger. But some of these people weren't peace activists by any stretch of the imagination, Yfred. These people were hoodlums out to severely injure and kill. The loss of life was a tragedy but with that sort of mentality by some of these peace activists....it was inevitable to occur.

It was inevitable alright :!:
And the inevitability began the moment Israel put the seige on Ghazza...

"Out to severely injure and kill"

They went up against the Israeli army! You people are unbelievable...

The IDF are the bad guys in most peoples opinion. It's them who the whole world is trying to save the Palestinians from! A hand full of foreign nationals standing up to the opressing army and paying with their lives was noble if not heroic.

And the best you can do is complain that these people faught the Israeli army...thats just so stupid! You would really have to be pro-Israel to see that as an issue which I don't believe most of you are...so it just boils down to how racist you are really.

...cunning are the Turks, hijacking an apolitical humanitarian mission.

...stupid, the Israeli who ordered the raid having such a brutal fashion.

...pity the Gazans who pay, like Cypriots, embroiled in a proxy war with overtones much larger.

...shame on anyone who is gleeful, hoping for an escalation of this violence.

Sometimes RP, we need to take advantage of certain Geoploitical Shifts which are unfolding before us.

We need to be smart, and help ourselves because if we do not, then our future on Cyprus is compromised.

The Turks will never let go of Cyprus even if there is a solution. They will always be around dictating their terms, unless of course someone else dictates to Turkey! Will this someone else be Israel.

Israel is the only likely candidate within our region.

Can we now see the bullet-ridden bodies of the dead activists? Have they been released by the IDF yet?

Barking up the wrong tree!

Did the Turks expect an unarmed boarding party so that they can freely club them to death like they did to Solomou?

It sure as hell hurts when the shoe is on the other foot.

Yes, the bullet ridden bodies would be ghastly. Yes, many were shot at close range. Yes, many more were shot in the leg.

Why?

You miss the whole point completely. Peace activist like the Cypriots and others before weren't going to Gaza to "go up against the Israeli army". They went to Gaza for humanitarian reasons, hence, peace activists. The problem here is the people if Gaza are living in terrible conditions so other countries, including Cyprus were sending aid to them. Since the Turks went and "faught the Israeli army" as you say...then why the surprise about the deaths that occurred? Tragic as it were...what did you think was going to happen? This has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with hypocrisy.

Up until recently, the Turks were Israel's biggest allies in the region and that was fine for decades. But if some GC's happens to think that Israel has a right to exist in peace, well, that is racism. Boggles the mind.

You may be right. The Israelis will say this blockade was established when Hamas took control of the srtip killing Abbas supporters, lobbying rockets into Israel, and vowing its destruction. Now i dont know if punishing 1.5 million is the right way to get rid of Hamas. But this sudden outrage from the Turks is quite stunning as Turkey planned to invade Syria because of Ocalan. What is more insane...trying to get rid of Hamas via a crippling blockade or trying to get rid of Ocalan via an invasion?
