Given many of the directors are global though predominantly European, RoC would have much of Europe against such an action. Remember the Europeans per se are against the Israeli actions on Gaza. Why would RoC look to alienate much of Europe by attacking a peaceful convoy of aid to Gaza. Most GCs have sympathies leaning towards the plight of the Palastiniens, what was the purpose of suggesting RoC attacking the convoy?
Regarding the new vessle coming towards Gaza Mr Netanyahu said attempts to persuade the vessel, named after an American woman killed by an Israeli bulldozer in Gaza in 2003, to dock at the Israeli port of Ashdod for inspection had been rejected. He also ordered Israeli forces to exercise "caution and politeness" in handling the ship so as to avoid harm to any passengers, an official said.
Israel is aware that it cannot harden an aggressive stance - it is against global public opinion, and will hurt it more in the long term.
Please less talk of war.
