I never called anyone a plonker although in fairness it was a bit more than a bottle , I had a few glasses of that excellent Sancerre .
Denis you are right , I did go to the Hideway Jazz Restaurant / Club , I'm pleased that I did because the American band with two black American singers was the best I have seen for a very long time.
They performed and played all my favourite numbers by Ella , Simone , that magical Billie Holiday and a few more of the greats.
