The pissfull Islamists kill 93 the week before and no one bats an eyelid.

Errr, hello?

Perhaps the dead were moslems, thats why.

The double standards displayed on this forum is shameful - the only conclusion I can reach is that when a muslim kills another muslim, "that's OK", because muslim life is cheap.

Do you mean me? Who are tose wit duble standards? lease clarify,

Greeks return home after Israeli detention

Six Greek nationals returned to Greece yesterday after being captured by Israeli commandos in international waters for taking part in the Free Gaza flotilla and held in detention in Israel for 24-hours.

Four of the six, Michael Grigoropoulos, Aristides Papadocostopoulos, Demetrios Gelalis and Thanasis Petroyiannis held a press conference at midday to talk about their captivity, the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) reported.

According to the four, the two Greek ships, Free Mediterranean and Sfendoni, were attacked at 5am, just after the raid on the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara.

The Greek activists told reporters that Israeli commandos who boarded the ships beat hard anyone who tried to resist. They took medicine away from the doctors on board and refused to allow those detained to move until the ships arrived at Ashdod in Israel, they said.

“If anyone dared to get up, the Israelis jumped on them. We would raise our hands like children to get permission after some time to go to the toilet,” said Gelalis.

According to CNA, the activists said that the Israeli authorities confiscated all their personal belongings, including mobile phones, laptops and all their clothes. At some point, masked doctors arrived to treat the injured.

The journey to Ashdod took 12 hours, during which the activists were filmed by Israelis. Once there, the activists said that their captors beat anyone who refused to be fingerprinted or sign a statement - in Hebrew - saying they regretted attacking the state of Israel. They were told that those who did not sign would go to court.

those who were beaten would be given injections to calm down when their bodies started to shake. After calming down, the beatings would start again. Three Greeks, who are still being held, were badly beaten

During their detention, the activists had limited access to water but no food, said the Greek nationals. When they asked to speak with the Greek Embassy, the Israeli authorities reportedly laughed at them and responded more aggressively. Where they were kept, only US Embassy officials were seen visiting American citizens.

The Greeks also pointed the finger at the Greek government, highlighting that when the assault against the Turkish ship began, the ships’ captains tried repeatedly to contact the Greek Foreign Ministry but no one would pick up.

The activists called on Israel to return all hostages, ships and the humanitarian aid, noting that it was donated by the people of Greece and the rest of Europe. The aid “was not intended for Israelis but for the oppressed Palestinians”, they were quoted saying. (CNA)

Guide: Gaza under blockade

By Heather Sharp
BBC News, Jerusalem

The Gaza Strip has been under a heightened Israeli blockade since the militant group Hamas seized control in June 2007. Israel wants to weaken Hamas, end its rockets attacks against Israeli towns and get back captured soldier Gilad Shalit.
Amnesty International has dubbed the blockade "collective punishment" resulting in a "humanitarian crisis"; UN officials have described the situation as "grim", "deteriorating" and a "medieval siege", but Israel says there are no shortages in Gaza, pointing to the aid it allows in.

OVERVIEW: WHAT GETS IN
For much of the three years since Hamas took control of Gaza, its 1.5m people have relied on less than a quarter of the volume of imported supplies they received in December 2005.
In the wake of the Hamas takeover, Israel said it would allow only basic humanitarian supplies into the Strip. It has a list of dual-use items such as steel pipes and fertiliser which it says could be used to manufacture weapons.
These are not allowed in, with the exception of "special humanitarian cases". Other than that, no specific list of what is and is not allowed in has been published, and items gaining entry vary over time.
The UN relief agency for Palestinian refugees Unrwa's list of household items that have been refused entry at various times includes light bulbs, candles, matches, books, musical instruments, crayons, clothing, shoes, mattresses, sheets, blankets, pasta, tea, coffee, chocolate, nuts, shampoo and conditioner.

Many other items - ranging from cars to fridges to computers - are generally refused entry.
Building materials such as cement, concrete and wood were nearly always refused entry until early 2010, when some glass, wood, cement and aluminium were allowed in.
During the six month truce between Israel and Hamas, which began in June 2008, and in early 2010, the volume and range of goods increased with trucks of shoes and clothes entering Gaza.
Israel says Hamas has diverted aid in the past, and could appropriate building materials for its own use. Aid agencies say they have stringent monitoring systems in place.

Well I think I read yesterday that the Israelis stopped all communications before descending on the boats?
