Last night I brought home a largish water-melon and shared it with Flora. Tonight she cooked some MUCENDRA/MUJENDRA. I never knew that GCs also cook this delightful pilav (rice, lentils and onions) it was lovely.

See, this is why I tell everyone the Mediterranean diet is akin to vegetarian and has only been contaminated recently due to these meat loving Brits!

O, I am told by the old village folks around Paphos that only until recently meat was only consumed on special occasions and feasts. They would sometimes go for months without eating meat. Animals were keps for their milk and work force.

Absolutely!

This ties in with what my mother tells me.

They ate beans, bread, potatoes, other vegetables in season, and fruit and once in a blue moon (Xmas and Easter) would eat some meat!

We have been contaminated ....

The thing is, most of us are Blood Group "A" (natural vegetarians) whereas the meat-sucking savage Brits are mostly Blood Group "O".
