I've noticed a distinct drop off in GC opinions about 'the talks' and how they are progressing.

Considering they've stated that PROPERTY will be the first thing they discuss and the question of property seems to loom largest in most minds here - I am very surprised that there is not more discussion or even speculation about what they might be deciding about it.

I am not. They are still in shock that the talks are actually continuing.

You must convince not only your own community of the value of a settlement; you must also convince the other community of your good faith. This is not a zero-sum game. It is possible, and indeed necessary, to arrive at a solution that clearly benefits both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.
