Should I buy a 3d TV?

Postby SKI-preo » Tue May 25, 2010 1:54 pm

At the moment only Samsung are selling them in Australia. Is this a good brand ? has anyone had a bad experience? I heard an American woman is suing Samsung after she fell pregnant with a black baby watching a porno called jungle fever in 3D.

WHAT tV do you own?

I'd wait a bit Ski, atm there's not much you can watch in 3D.

Australia will be the first country to transmit terrestrial 3D signals, some of the world cup and a few state of origin rugby matches are planned to be broadcast in 3D. Foxtel is also saying they will open a dedicated 3D channel.

I don't think it's good for your brain either, as it fucks up your depth of field. There are concerns about driving after prolonged viewing.

I plan on getting one for the State of Origin. I don't think the 20 beers I plan on drinking for the State of Origin will do my depth of field any good either. If anyone is in Sydney on Origin night and they have their own 3D glasses come over.

State of Origin Rugby , is like the equivalent of the Lefkosia vs Lemesos Skatoulika or Lingri Championships. When will RIK broadcast this in 3D?

BLUE RAY has been out a few years now and it is only recently we have been able to get a selection of films in cyprus ,and they are a lot of money, hd tv has been out a long time and there are still only a handfull of programs in hd ...how long will it be before 3d is broadcast for most things ,,probably 3 or 4 years ...........6 years ago i bought my first plasma ,cost 6000 pound ,bought a big samsung plasma last year for 1000 pounds so the cost at the moment would be high,,, i would not by 3 d yet ,,,, and some people find that it does make them sick from vertigo

Didn't have time to finish what I was saying earlier...

After watching the video, if that’s what a 3D TV is all about then I think it sucks!

I have a Samsung LCD. Lovely TV, beautiful picture. Sound not so great on it, so invested in a home theatre. If I were to get another TV, I would definitely look at Samsung again.

Same here , I own Samsung 42" Series 7 LCD ... Awesome picture , not so good sound ...

Anyway, I would suggest yu to wait for sometime , unless you really need new TV now... You will find better option at lesser rate in sometime, also you will have better reviews for making decision ...

When I bought mine , LED was available (and almost on same price) but not with higher refresh rate (Max 100Hz) ... This was one of reason I chose LCD over LED ...

So, better check all the facts and proper demo before making decision.
