When Grivas became retarded.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Oracle
there isnt one bit of Pro Turkish stanza in that post at all????
Its called an opinion and because it doesnt side with yours doesnt make it any less of a post.
What shows your position up is the failiure to reply to any of the salient points mentioned in that post.
Its sad that you have to sink to the "Bullshit baffles brains" tirade when you cannot reply.
why is it that only Cyprus celebrates KataKlysmos if its supposed to be Greek?
Why is only "NO" day celebrated by Greece but not Liberation day or VE day like most other countries freed from German domination..or those who fought so valiantly to Free Greece?

But my point is that hardly anyone here SEES THEMSELVES as CYPRIOT!

They cling to Greece. But the Greeks do not seem to have the same love of all things GC that these GCs have of all things Greek!

And ... what have they ever done for you?

And ... where are they calling for Cyprus to become part of Greece now?

And ... considering the well publicised huge amounts they spend on arming themselves - why haven't they tried to 'liberate' you from your oppressors?

Oracle calls on the EU to annihilate the Turks and banish them from Cyprus. Was she calling on GREECE before Cyprus joined the EU to do the same job? I think not. And would they have responded? I think not.

As I said before - why aren't all you that are convinced you are GREEK over there now rallying to the GREEK CAUSE. Instead of comfortably isolated from the effects of the Austerity measures and their humiliation in either Cyprus or the UK?

You ain't Greek unless one of your parents is or was. And Cyprus is NOT one of the Greek Islands.

Look on a map. Try insisting on visiting Greece without a passport (you'd stand about as much chance as you would of visiting the northern part of your own island).

We are Cypriots, Cretans, Athenians etc and all together Greeks.

Our identity is not defined by what some foreign Imperialists imposed on us. The fact that Cyprus is a separate country and we need a passport to go to Greece merely reflects the fact that our freedom was denied and Cyprus was forced to be a separate country so some Imperialists can continue to exploit our island.

I am Greek, my parents are Greek, my great grandparents are Greek. We are Greek since a time that there were no "Turks" and no "English", not just in Cyprus but anywhere. So you foreigners can't tell us what we are and what our island is.

Therefore the "what have they ever done for you" is an irrelevant question. There is no "they", there is just "us". Us the Greeks.

What exactly was "hidden" that was now revealed?

I told this truths over and over again and I hide nothing. Ask Deniz ;)

Of course I am a Cypriot. And of course my main language is Greek. But my ethnicity is Greek as well. There is no Cypriot ethnicity.

Even your friends the Americans know this:

Ethnic groups:
Greek 77%, Turkish 18%, other 5% (2001)

https://www.cia.gov/library/publication ... os/cy.html

Since we are at that website lets have a look at Turkey:

Ethnic groups:
Turkish 70-75%, Kurdish 18%, other minorities 7-12% (2008 est.)

https://www.cia.gov/library/publication ... os/tu.html

Just 70-75% of the population is Turkish (and that only after several genocides against others) and yet they call their country Turkey and claim it is Turkish. How come? Can you possibly not see the double standards?

You can screw Turkey all you like . That is no concern of mine.

You are still Cypriot, a Greek speaking Cypriot.

Be proud of it.

There are regional differences across all countries, don't you agree? Cheese rolling! Is that celebrated all over the UK? Nope!

That post, inter alia, was pro-Turkish because it promotes the falsehood that Greece/Greeks and Greek Cypriots have no historical or ethnic commonality. This is a Turkish promoted viewpoint because Turks seek to neutralise the island of its historical Greek roots. See the village and street name changes in the occupied north; see the destruction of the Greek heritage by way of razed Churches and architecture.

This anti-Greek stance of Gasbag's is purely a Turk-promoted drive. Why any neutral person would promote it, is cause for concern. Either complete ignorance or through payment from the Turkish propaganda vehicles. That this person boasts of free and frequent travel to the north and the persistence in parroting such unsubstantiated historical revisionism, led to my criticism. The only other person with such persistence in promoting one main message, whilst similarly ignoring a barrage of evidence to prove its unworthiness, undisturbed by facts, as Gasbags appears to be, was our self-confessed ear and mouth to Denktash; locally known as Expatkiwi.
