Need a good builder/repair man

Postby Smiler Brian » Mon May 24, 2010 10:42 pm

Hi guys. I have a small problem in that the flat above mine has a leak which has damaged our bathroom ceiling. The owner of the flat upstairs says she will pay for any repairs but would like me to arrange the repair (as she lives in Italy).

I'm next in Limassol next week so need a builder to have a look and give us an idea of costs. I'd prefer one who speaks both Greek and English so that we can put him in touch with the other owner. The leak would appear to be within the floor as there is no sign of it in the flat upstairs.

Anyone know a good contact please?

Probably the shower tray drain connection, ....can't tell you how many times i've heard and known this to be a problem. The connection always seems to be a hit or miss situation.... Can be a hell of a problem to fix too!!!!

Cheers guys, had a structural engineer look at it and he confirmed that it was sanitary ware leakage. Just need to pass the news on to the owner upstairs......

I don’t envy you… :( it could be anything from poor plumbing to an idiot builder who drilled through a good pipe.
