TCs what does agreed partition mean to you?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TCs what does agreed partition mean to you?

1) Does it mean an independant homeland for you?

2) Does it mean an other Turkish province.

What are your aspirations for the territory?

Partition, agreed or otherwise, means different things to different people...

For me it means the ultimate failure of Cypriot patriotism, and a victory for foreign nationalists and imperialists...Oh,and a victory for bloodyminded, bitter and twisted, centuries old hatreds and desires for revenge.... :!: Imitating the maximalist demands of certain people here,I want nothing but 100% of Cyprus territory... :)

It means locally independent but regionally and globally dependent to more powerful countries... just like so-called RoC and all other tiny countries...

Dude, straight up I don't want partition.

You are an out and out partitionist.

My question is simple, if you realised your dream, what do you want its political status to be?

... and please no non-answers.

No, I am not an out and out partitionist. I have concerns as to the level of maturity of the people of the island as to having a full democracy of 1 person 1 vote. I believe it is for the mutual benefit of the destinies of both communities to cooperate and integrate. The risks of that being a negative outcome are highly increased by the process evolving faster than the level of genuine brotherly/sisterly respect and love.
Couple of quotes that ring true for me regarding applying the idealist full democracy soundbite to the Cyprus problem:

- “An idealist believes the short run doesn't count. A cynic believes the long run doesn't matter. A realist believes that what is done or left undone in the short run determines the long run.”

- “Idealism is the noble toga that political gentlemen drape over their will to power.”

Eddie, all Turkish Cypriot polls show union with Turkey is one of the least favourable outcomes therefore your incorporation of option 2 is non-sensical.

We are not talking about partition in Cyprus.

We are talking about Bi-Zonal,Bi-communal Federation.

And Many times TC's are declare it.

no need to talk about . not to mixed peoples mind !

An interesting question. Assuming that partition were possible, and the TRNC did become an independent recognised nation, how do you see the TCs dealing with things like settlers and relations with the neighboring countries like Egypt, Lebanon, Syria Israel?

No theorising please. In reality, how do you think government jobs would be apportioned? We are in Cyprus and know how these things are arranged. Where does this leave the settlers?

An agreed partition is no longer a valid supposition. Cyprus has already been torn to shreds and the partitionists have succeeded in carving up our island with bloodshed and ethnic cleansing.

Whatever happens now, the north is nothing short of a Turkish province. Just like its post code suggests. MERSIN-10 TURKEY.
