I hate to say this, but...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Oracle, as a half-Greek when will you half-apologize for Greece's wrongdoings against the people of Cyprus?

Where are all the Greeks or Greek sympathizers of the forum to apologize anyway???

However, if we can’t agree to a one-person-one-vote system under a modern democracy then in future we should do it properly with an all-out war! :D

We appreciate your generocity of spirit,GR,and thank you for the reminder, and advanced warning, that if we don't manage to solve our problem peacefully, worse of the same is awaiting us down the track...

Just because they failed, it doesn't mean there weren't GCs racially targeted and killed with bombs and Napalm. Not to mention the turmoil it catapulted the country into, towards providing the climate for their successful invasion in 1974.

How about an apology for that?

quite right,Oracle...Your people like my people have been suffering long before 1974...No apology is complete until it is all encompassing...I hereby extend my apology to cover all Cypriots at all times...Please accept it,as it comes from deep in my heart where I hide a little boy who knows what it is like to feel scared and bewildered by terrifying events beyond his control.... :(

...indeed, GR has hit the nail on the head.

One State, Two National Assemblies, although not better than one governing body alone is Bicommunal; where Individual Rights are respected equally as well where as Persons, Rights are equal.

One State alone, where citizens are differentiated by a colour or an ethnic origin is not good governance, it regresses and promotes the enmity we suffer today.

Two States under our condition is a tragic Human failure for which shame can be applied to all.

Greece and its people have done more than just "apologise", even though the Junta were not elected representatives of the Greek people. They have punished the wrongdoers.

Should we now apologise, to ourselves, for Sampson and his mates because they were GCs and supposedly represented us?

Keep your "apologies" to yourself until you learn the meaning of sincerity!

I wish to come back and join it with Bir's sincere apology to all our Cypriot brothers(and sisters) Only those who have been on the forum long enough will appreciate Birs sincerity. Additionally I would like to apologise for the Armenians killed in Cyprus by the fanatic TMT in Kiosklu Chiftlik/Köşklü Çiftlik(December 1963); watching helplessly their lifeless bodies during the gunfights will forever be in my nightmares. Like these people, all innocents RIP.

I hereby take my leave.

Adieu!
