Help me please!

Postby SpartanGamer » Fri May 21, 2010 5:44 pm

Hi

My Norton security ran out a while ago and now i have an annoying thing popping up on my screen with a little roar saying i have a virus, i now have to pay £60 for a new norton to get rid of over 20 viruses! does anyone know how to get rid of viruses for free? My mate told me you could email the virus to somebody else and they get it and it leaves your computer (imagine if it was like that with STD's lol!) is this true?

please help me because i don't want my computer to die on me!

ok, thats not a long time solution but it will sort you out.

download windows live care trail, its really good and it will clean your pc up in no time.

oh and dont email the virus cause you will only infect other people computers while you wont get rid of the virus on yours..

some one told me you can get rid of viruses with no unti-virus using dos command, locating the virus file and using the order kill but i have never tried that because i dont wanna fuck my laptop up..

no more experiments for me, go for the livecare its a decent prog. good luck

Try this one
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5270493 ... _MAXSPEED_[reistad4

You might save a few bucks... pirated copy.

Otherwise Install AVG, free antivirus from here

Don’t waste your time with an anti-virus just yet.

Remove Norton and then download, install, update, and run Malwarebytes from here…

If the problem persists get back to me.

PS: If you took Georgios’ advice remove AVG because its crap.

Avast is also free and I had no problems with it on my second computer. But on my main pc I use NOD32 ... I think an antivirus is one of those few things you should buy. Get Malwarebytes as GR said and the install Avast. This is a good free solution. If you want better solution you will have to pay. I wouldn't trust a pirated version of an anti-virus.

I have Norton running for the past 10 years, nothing else. All Norton copies I use are cracked.

AVG free is a light version, not that good but better than nothing...

I have Malwarebytes too, but run in occasionally to clean up Norton leftovers. Norton 2010 internet security is by far the best antivirus out there. Takes very little CPU memory, hardly slows down the computer (unlike before).

And who are you guys telling me about antivirus?
