I think a few of them work on the ground. I seem to remember Frank (frankand joan.com, the wanker carpetbagger) giving that figure of 600 and commented that they are three times overstaffed and run by a teacher. In common with many state owned businesses the staff, according to Frank, are doing you a favour by allowing you to fly with them.

you can also fly the new airline called corendon which fly into ercan from amsterdam .......on some accasions aircraft do not allways land in turkey ,but just fly into turkish airspace and change the flight number , they only do this when the plane is fully booked to ercan,, and the benefits of flying into amsterdam is you can get a shuttle flight to any small airport in the uk
