RoC Passports.!!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Kikapu » Wed May 19, 2010 5:04 pm

One reason may well be, and I'm just thinking from top of my head, is for the RoC to make sure that the TC applicants for the RoC passports are "fast tracked" for the initial 2 years, and that the extra 8 years are given after two years, once they have done a complete search on the TCs to make sure that they are who they say they are and not a Turk, given the fact, that many TCs were forced to change their names which can easily be confused with names from Turkey. The added two years may well be for verification purpose and nothing else, since the exact fees are paid by the TCs and the GCs for the RoC passports for 10 years..........eventually for the TCs.!

Can't you just get a RoC passport with a birth certificate issued by the RoC, Halil, or must you get the RoC's ID first before a 2 year RoC passport is issued to TCs.??

Just looked into my new RoC passport. Valid for 10 years cost 50 Euro approximately. I had to get RoC birth certificate to verify nationality.
