EROGLU Negotiating Team Ready ........... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No, not that it would then join Turkey. Once you let go of national status it is hard to regain it. The possibility would be some manufactured tension and then a split into two independent nations, ie partition via the long way round, but then the two entities seeking recognition would be starting from zero, and the one that had Turkey on its side would be playing with a clear advantage.

...funny how Turkey did not have to recognise the existence of the RoC so that it could recognise the trnC.

So the issue is that it would be a "new" constitution from the old RoC? Would one expect any different if the solution encompasses a BBF. Else, was it the process is what bothered you rather than the end result?
Having real trouble making practical sense of your issue.

...i think the issue is that the Annan Plan was unclear, not unlike the Treaty of Zurich, which failed.

Hence our red line. The new Federation would be an evolution of the Republic of Cyprus and not a virgin birth. Does it make sense to you now?

So, is the new team picking up the negotiation where the Talat team left it, or will there be revisions and backtracking? This is the vital bit, not the personalities involved.

It's not "mistrust"!

Sometimes you have to accept that Turkey did not earn its reputation through "mistrust" alone but through Expansionist, genocidal, racist agendas which no one should be forced to accept!

... except misguided "romantic" die-hard Turkophiles like you!
