Sinbad was Persian and Ali Baba Iraqi!

Don't cloud the boy's judgement with mere detail. You are only going to confuse him.

I thought I'd inform him before you take credit of non-Turkish characters...

No they weren't Irish, you must be thinking of the famous explorer Mark O'Polo!

Actually, I had consumed rather a large helping of (properly prepared/cooked/served) 'Hossenpfeffer' just prior to making my gaffe, intoxicated by the alcoholic beverages which accompanied (and were part of the ingredients) of the meal, I made an error in judgement.

I have just been reminded (on viewing your avatar) of the wonderful taste and texture of that meal and do wonder if you would be interested in joining me (in a participating capacity) for dinner on Saturday.

Kindly present yourself a day or two earlier since the process of initial preparations are (as you probably are aware) quite time consuming.

Schnauzer wrote:Thank you YFred and denizaksulu.... (for your welcomes that is) although I cannot ally myself to your seeming aversion to the Greeks (or Spartans) since the pages of history are littered with accounts of great deeds of valour by both of the aforementioned.

Old habits die hard..... it would appear that the Turks are still at it (by all accounts).

Did I say welcome?

I will give you a second chance to redeem yourself (after those accusations) with us lovely Turkish speaking Cypriots. In Cyprus there are two sides to the coin. I support neither the Turkish neither the Greek point of view. I am Cypriot a Turkish speasking Cypriot and I support what is best for all of Cyprus. You cannot brush everybody with the 'brain-washed' brush you used above.
