I think VAT is the fairest TAX of all!

They should do away with Income Tax and Council Tax and just charge everyone who buys anything 40% VAT!

For once I agree, no income tax but a sliding luxury tax ..no vat on books or food or base items .... if you want a 52" tv or mercedes you pay...

In the UK they should bring back the Poll Tax, charge per person in a household. That is definitely fairer than charging an old couple the same as a family of 20 worthy oriental gentleman that live next door the same amount as their houses are the same size!

Or perhaps they should just introduce a Pole tax?
