New York Greek Independence Day photos

Postby Lit » Sun May 16, 2010 10:55 pm

I'd like to share some photos i took recently where countless Greek Americans, Cypriot Americans, Armenian Americans, and philhellenes came to New york for the Greek Independence Day Parade. Just to let everyone know that I am currently in the States working as a temporary consultant.

Here are a few photos i took of the event. Just click on the image to enlarge.

Here are Cypriots in traditional costume. Man in vraka holding American Flag (Just for you GR!):

Thank you, but your posts are not only great reading but also rich with lots of worthwhile information, interesting news and quirky facts. :D

Keep up the good work; and avoid the mudslinging spammers.

Very nice Lit!

Don't worry about GR! It just hurts him to see that there is a certain innocence and genuine love for Cyprus and Greece within the Diaspora.

Someone said, that this is where you will find the most genuine Greeks and Cypriots. How true is that? :(

GR should also hold his breath because the calamity befallen Greece is only around the corner for the RoC as well. This is what happens when Christofias awards full wages for AKEL Party supporters in Australia and even gives these leeches free refugee property even though they are not permanent residents.

Cypriots need to put Christofias in jail. I will open a thread about this in the not too distant future, time permitting!
