Words of NICOS ROLANDIS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Blair was a lawyer and her position was clear to the public, unlike the supposedly neutral MPs - damn politicians.

Personally I don't like statues of persons of power - normally someone suffered for them to be there - too partisan a concept. However the Musee de Rodin in Paris, that's art.

i do not favour staues either, but erecting something so sensitive in this part of the woods, it doesn't do any good for the moral...it kinda adds fuel to the fire, wouldn't you say?...

What do you think of the treatment meted out to the TCs between 1963-74??? Are you proud of the attempted ethnic cleansing of Cyprus of the TCs by Makarios and Co.???

I would IF the conditions in Cyprus were the same as Australia...But alas,I have realised Cyprus are full of fanatical racist individuals who do not believe the TCs are Cypriots but Ottoman remnants who should be held responsible for the real and imaginary sins of the Ottomans going back to 1571...These shameless,hate-ridden individuals are historical revisionists who believe in their own propaganda that there was nothing wrong with the treatments of the TCs during 1963-74...Now,cut out your crap and get down on your knees and beg forgiveness for wanting to sell your own country, nay, wanting to give your own country on a plate to Greece...Then I will take your pleas for democracy and human rights seriously...Till then you will remain a treacherous ,history-denial,miserable ,fanatical Greek clown... :)

Rolandis is a very well respected politician among the level-headed Greek Cypriots. He stands firmly on the ground and for this he is hated by morons of the patriotic type who cannot stand anyone telling even simple truths. That is why most of the responses to his words of wisdom were of the type "he is a no good defeatist who wants to sell Cyprus off". Hardly did they touch the essence of what he said, with the exception of kikapu, who thinks that the EU will allow tiny Cyprus to block Turkey's accession, should the time comes for Turkey to join this club, which the RoC managed to enter by making false promises.
