We are not to be trusted?
Because we are the native inhabitants of the island who raise an objection to your invasion, perhaps?

He forgot to mention something that really matters to Turkey, which is the RoC's veto vote for Turkey's EU dreams.!!
Somehow, this most important detail to Turkey must have slipped his mind.!
Somehow, I don't think it will slip Christofias's mind.!
Mr Kikapu,
May I remind you of the contents of the New LISBON TREATY and its emphasis on Democratic Majority Voting. However, what's more important my blind friend is the state of Turkey's political and Economic affairs and how much of an importance it will play, thus how little the BIG BOYS of the EU will soon DISREGARD the Hijacked VETO Rights of the now GC-ROC without Turkish Cypriot Representation, and how the EU will soon RECOGNISE the Cyprus Border and its mistake in its decision in letting in a very hostile Greek Cypriot Government, particularly one who fail the EU immediately after saying "NO" to the Annan Plan. The real politics surrounding the infamous and bogus Veto from the GC camp will be made apparent, very soon!
I pitty the GCs to the extent that their sole reasoning for a SOCIALIST, COMMUNIST idea for a solution to the Cyprus CONFLICT is both outdated and meaningless to the EU, otherwise, why agree to a Federal Basis? Cyprus is Divided, the sooner you accept this reality, the quicker the EU will wrap up this pathetic mistake it took on in 2004. One just needs to look at the former Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia and etc, etc to see how the EU Commission prefers to settle places in conflict. Entering the EU, or should I say, agreeing to enter the EU without a Solution was the Greek Cypriot leader's worst mistake.
THANK FOR OUR FREEDOM!
May I remind you of the contents of the New LISBON TREATY and its emphasis on Democratic Majority Voting.
