Many GCs and TCs living abroad are refugees from the Cyprus conflicts ..................some are not.

Many of girls in the past have said maybe to me also also, if I drove halfway across the state to get to her, and in the end, all I got was just a lousy dinner.!

I never doubted the Cypriot Hospitality, but one needs to question why your sudden interest in whether I'm coming to the north or not, specially with your hostile reactions towards me in the past and as recently as ONLY a month ago.!

Perhaps if you start showing that Cypriot Hospitality Spirit here on the forum, I then MAYBE, would consider coming to the north and then MAYBE, I might get an invite for that family dinner.!

Forget it I was just interested to find if you had balls to come and see for real how TCs live in the TRNC and why we will never give it up without a better offer, obviously you dont have the balls nor do I want to allow you anywhere near my family or home. If you are a TCs you know we are only hospitable to people we trust to open our homes to not our enemies such as yourself.

You got me confusedagain re Yfredo. What on earth is 'Turkish Hellim'. Cypriot or Turkish Cypriot may be but Turkish?

I think that is very fair comment.

I have very good GC friends and we may argue about my going North but they are interested in what I say about it (most of them, nor even their parents ever having been there). I take the piss about them being convinced they will be raped, murdered or worse if they venture over the line.

And I have very good TC friends too. And I have to say, if only from my personal experience, they don't actually give a shit about all my GC friends. It seems GCs who are the most rabid about 'not cohorting with the enemy'.

And, from an outsider 'foreigner' POV I also have to say - I don't actually see ANY DIFFERENCE, they look the bloody same, they live the same, they have the same hopes and aspirations for their kids. They help their kids with their homework, they do the DIY on their homes. They might not 'drink' (nowt wrong with that), but like to have a good time the same as GCs do.

It's just the bluddy NATIONALISTS who are in bed with either Greece or Turkey who see all the problems.

I've friends all over the globe and, when it comes to the crunch, women especially, worry about the same things, wherever they live, what to do about any problems with their children, any problems with their marriage, shortage of money, what to cook for bluddy dinner! Waddever!

The world is shrinking, especially in the electronic age, we don't have to rely on biased and prejudiced news reports. We can find out FOR OURSELVES.
